Egg Farms in Singapore produce only 26% of total egg concumption locally. Influenced by the growing population and unstable import, one of the core targets in 2030 is to facilitate the local production of egg. However, Singapore is challenged by the scarcity of land and natural resources. In addition, current land use policy and infrastructual strateagies is not beneficial to facilitate farming production.
This project proposes a new typology of urban egg farm serving for the community. Based on current Park Connector Network, the new egg farms will transform residual green space to organized landscape infrastructure. Urban agriculture becomes a new kind of landscape in this project.
